Snetterton Success As BSB Roars Into Norfolk!

The high-speed Snetterton circuit in Norfolk played host to the fifth round of the 2023 Bennetts British Superbike Championship, and it proved a scorching weekend of results for our R&G riders and teams.

After the tight and twisty Knockhill circuit, the long straights of Snetterton gave our Superbike riders a chance to push their machines, and it was a fantastic weekend for Christian Iddon, who scored his best results of the season to date. Challenging for a podium in all three races, it’s only a matter of time until he climbs the rostrum. Some strong results from Hawk Racing’s Charlie Nesbitt also saw him close up on the top ten in the overall Championship standings.

It remains a close battle for honours for the R&G Rising Stars title, which celebrates those riders making their debut in the BSB class this year. Max Cook currently leads the way, just ahead of Charlie Nesbitt and Bradley Perie.

The British Supersport class saw some incredible racing throughout the weekend, with Gearlink Kawasaki’s Tom Booth-Amos claiming victory and second place, while in race two, Moto Rapido’s Ben Currie joined him on the podium with third. Further silverware came in the Junior Superstock class, with Asher Durham taking a memorable victory, and the Junior Supersport category, with Lennon Docherty and Lewis Smart both claiming podium finishes.

In the R&G British Talent Cup, Evan Belford made it a dominant double, while Amanuel Brinton, Julian Correa and Lucas Brown joined him on the podium. Also back in action at Snetterton was the BMW F 900 R Cup, which saw Richard Cooper continue his untouchable form with another victory ahead of Thomas Strudwick and Barry Burrell.
